To regain respect requires tackling some huge issues: the economy, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, our dependence on foreign oil, crime at home. It also requires that when it comes to how we view and interact with the rest of the world. Has the United States of America, once “the leader of the free world,” actually lost its edge?
